Before Dispatch was a game, it was written to be a live action tv show (as the article describes). To be fair, we don’t know how much of the original is in the final game, but it felt like the game had a specific way it was written.

Specifically, the script felt like it was designed for Invisigal in mind. I’m not saying this out of preference, rather circumstances around the game. This includes:

- More even pacing of Invisigal appearances compared to other characters. After Episode 1, she appears in every episode and has considerable impact on the plot. Same cannot be said about other characters.
- A full Invisigal development arc. Other than Robert, she seems to be the only other character that gets similar character development.
- Chases comments on Invisigal and Robert’s relationship in EP 6. The way he discusses their relationship hints at it being romantic, no matter what choice you choose. This extends to his outburst, which is better built up after the Invisigal route dance.
- Invisigals sudden kiss in EP 7. While it’s plausible in other routes, in her route that kiss seems like it was built up and less sudden.
- The sunrise scene in EP 8 with Robert and Invisigal. The framing and music is arguably romantically charged playing their shared theme.

This brings up the OST. The OST that plays during Invisigal scenes is called “Rob and Courtney” while the track for Blonde Blazer scenes is called “Mandy”. Also, I would say the OST that plays during the date choice in EP 4 has similar music motifs to Invisigals theme. While Blonde Blazers themes are great, it’s noticeably absent after EP 4.

What confirmed it for me personally, was when I did a “Fell for Both” playthrough, but it ended with Robert kissing Invisigal and Mandy telling him to keep Invisigal happy.

Not saying one choice is better than the other. But it’s hard for me to say that the Invisigal route didn’t get more attention than the Blonde Blazer route. I was more satisfied with my Invisigal play through than my Blonde Blazer play through as a result. I felt like Blonde Blazer got the short end of the stick overall.

Did you guys feel the same?
