This constant rebuttal, by Taylor, about giving Jordan the benefit of the doubt, and him really loving Jessi is so hard to watch. The first two seasons I was heartbroken for Taylor over how her parents would speak to, and treat her. Her mom constantly coming to Dakota’s defense anytime Taylor would have anything negative to say about him and their relationship, was so sad.

This season she is pushing back and telling her mom to stop constantly defending Dakota, and good for her on that. But the thing that really gets me, is her doing the same thing to Jessi that her mother has done to her repeatedly, that she has admitted many times makes her feel terrible about herself. If you know that kind of behavior hurt you, why are you doing it to others? I get that there is a process to healing and breaking negative cycles, but it’s hard to see Taylor choose to play devil’s advocate when she could so easily follow the example right in front of her with M&M. I will give her credit where credit is due, that an apology may be coming, if it hasn’t happened already, as she does seem to try to take accountability if she sees she has hurt someone. But god is it hard to watch her repeat what she has been raised in.
