The moment Skool proved itself during a family emergency

I booked a one-way ticket to Spain yesterday. My business didn't skip a beat

So, I won't publish a long, well copywritten post.

Just gonna keep it real and share something with you that I wouldn't have been able to just 9 months ago.

So, my sister fell at home last week and broke her back.

I'm not gonna lie, this pretty much shook me to my core, because it could have been much worse.

She lives in Mallorca with her daughter. I got the call, booked a one-way ticket, and flew out the next day.

I'm still here, and of course, I'll stay as long as she needs me.

But, here's what made that possible:

I run my communities on Skool. Everything works from anywhere, laptop, phone, hospital Wi-Fi, even my phone's hotspot when the connection drops.

Yesterday I ran a one-to-one coaching call from Mallorca and accepted payment. All from my phone. 🤯

Here's the thing: I told my communities what happened because I wanted their support (and they've been incredible). But I didn't have to tell them.

There has been zero disruption. No members waiting for responses. No technical issues. No scrambling to "keep things running."

If I hadn't said anything, no one would have known I'm 1,000 miles from home, dealing with a family crisis.

This is what freedom actually looks like.

Not working 4 hours a week from a beach (though that's nice too).

I think real freedom is being able to drop everything when life happens, run your business from a hospital waiting room, take a client call between visiting hours, accept payment from another country, and knowing nothing falls apart because you built it on a platform that works.

I hope you never need to test your setup like this.

But if you do?

I hope you've built something that gives you the same freedom Skool has given me 🫶
