Having a flying monkey relative work at your latest 'soclal environment'

I'm going into a new 'social environment' in a few months, and I'm afraid my parent is going to send the flying monkey to 'work there' because they did that before. I'm sure others here have experienced similar.

Please tell me I'm not alone in this.
