Before I ask my advisor about non licensure for Masters in Sped

Would that even be an option?

Almost done with my coursework for my Masters in Teaching for Special Ed. Would have to do my advanced clinicals and student teaching, which I am simply dreading because the idea of working without pay is giving me so much anxiety.

Am I in too deep though? I know alternative certification is available for the bachelor’s route but I would just like someone to confirm for me that there’s no possible way I can just get my Masters without going through with the clinicals and student teaching.

I have years of classroom experience as a para and substitute. I would just pay for an alternative program that would essentially pay me to teach, which is available in the state I’m planning to move to.

Thanks in advance for any insight
