Expedite I-130 request

Hi everyone, I requested an expedite for my I-130 case based on humanitarian reasons, and I just want to make sure of something. Does submitting an expedite request cause any delay to the main case? My case is still showing as “Case Was Received,” and I’m worried that the expedite request might slow things down instead of helping. If anyone has experience with this, I’d really appreciate your input. Thank you!
