How can I learn Azerbaijani as someone how knows Azeri
Hello. I'm from Iran and I had so much connection and travel to northwest of Iran that I learned how to speak Azeri as well as Turkish.
But the problem is, I'm really not used to Azerbaijani writing, I have hard time reading it, reading Turkish seems much easier to me.
I can read Azerbaijani and speak it well, but I'm not used to Azerbaijani way of writing, so when I read, I have to put effort on properly reading.
Also, for example in Iran, there are lots of Persian words borrowed unlike Azerbaijani.
For example you call "map", xəritə but in Azeri that's spoken in Iran, people call it Nəgşə, the same Persian word "نقشه"
or the word "joke" translates to "zarafat", but this is what really old people use in Iran, like grandpas. people mostly say "şukhi" which is "شوخی" in Persian.
or you call "Hospital" xəstəxana, but in Iran nobody below 80 years old calls it like that, most people don't even know it. so in Iran it is called "Bimarestan" the exact persian word borrowed to Azeri.
What should I do? I'm not absolute zero, so I don't want to start from very basic.
