1/2 deep: QQ facing heavy flop action on 876

Two limps, I ($900) make it $20 in MP with Q♠Q♣,

MP1 (unknown, $300) calls,

SB whale ($400) calls,

UTG ($300) & UTG1 ($300) call.

Important read:

SB whale always bets big when he likes his hand.

⸻

Flop ($100): 8♠ 7♠ 6x

SB whale donks $80 (consistent with his “strong hand = big bet” tendency).

UTG old man cold-calls the $80.

UTG1 folds.

Action on me with MP1 still behind.

I tanked and folded QQ.

MP1 calls.

⸻

Turn ($340): Jx

SB checks,

UTG shoves $200,

MP1 calls,

SB folds.

Showdown:

• UTG: J9o

• MP1: A K♠♠

River bricks, J9o scoops with just a pair of Jacks.

My question:

Is folding QQ on this flop actually bad?

Or is it fine given:

• SB’s big donks are usually very value-heavy

• UTG cold-calling $80 is never air

• MP1 is behind me

• Board is insanely dynamic (straight + flush draws everywhere)

• Raising seems suicide

• Calling feels like getting pulled into a $340+ pot with reverse implied odds

• Most turns put me in hell

• Multiway ranges are tighter than we think

Obviously the result makes me look like a genius-idiot (i.e., “congrats on folding the winner”), but in real time it felt like a gross, dominated multiway spot where QQ just shrivels.

Was my fold reasonable, or way too nitty?
