Aggression/Anger

Aggression

Son 12, always in a foul mood with foul language, screams, manipulates every situation, bends truth, hurls insults constantly- the most vile hurt with words imaginable directed toward parents and siblings, tells me he hates me and I’m the worst Mom ever and he hopes I die, or he wants to kill me, usually after I tell him he has abused the screen time limits, obsessed with Minecraft, hates school and refuses to do anything he doesn’t want to do, including help around the house, or clean up after himself, doesn’t respect authority, doesn’t see a need to help anyone, selfish, constant provoking and fighting with siblings, repeats everything he hears and tries to weaponize it- try to keep him off YouTube because it makes that worse. He won’t play outside, won’t move his body. Got kicked out of two different therapy offices, seen countless Pyschologist’s, and sees Psychiatrist routinely who only wants to keep prescribing different medications. None work or he has side effects, or make the aggression extremely worse! He was in OT for years til they graduated him when his OT moved away. Been on waitlists for ABA for years. There is nothing for children’s mental health here, no help. Even paid thousands out of pocket for a former pediatrician turned PANS/PANDAS obsessed quack who insisted on his protocol that actually made behavior worse each time and tried it a few times, including first time for an IV. I pulled over after he kept trying to make threats and scream while I was driving, and saw law enforcement and asked them to talk to my son. He wouldn’t even look at the officer. I am at a complete loss, and no one IRl understands how everyday is a battle of walking on egg shells, and wrecked marriage, strained sibling dynamic, I mourn for everyone else’s cookie cutter life. I don’t want to put him in a group home and want to help him, but I don’t know what to do…

TLDR: worsening behavior and aggression, in an always angry, 12 year old boy. Meds tried: atarax (hydroxizine), Prozac, guanfacine (Intuniv), escitalopram (Lexapro), atomoxetine (Straterra), aripiprazole (Abilify), oxcarbazine (Tegretol), and most recently lisdexamfetamine (Vyvanse) As well as numerous other supplements and vitamins, omegas etc.
