I’m not ugly… just average. But I was still rejected because of my looks

Question

I wasn’t rejected because I’m horrible-looking. I’m ’m just… average. A normal woman with a normal face. Nothing dramatic, nothing shocking or eyenot... Icatching ... just simple. But somehow, even that wasn’t enough for most men who I ended up talking to,or know, or i was suggested to. I haven't been rejected because of my personality, not because of my values, not because of who I am as a person because im truly a good person … but simply because my looks didn’t “stand out.” And even though I understand everyone has their preferences, it still hurts more than I like to admit...it makes you question yourself: Why isn’t “average” acceptable anymore? Why is natural suddenly the lowest category? When did simplicity become something to look down on? We’re living in a time where people compare realistic women to filters and Instagram faces. So a normal, natural-looking woman like me suddenly looks “less,” even though this is how real humans actually look. And the worst part? I’m not even asking to be liked for my appearance. I just wanted to be accepted and loved for who I am .. a simple, educated, kind , modest ,easygoing woman with a soft heart and good manners. But being rejected again as getting older makes something inside you collapse.. You start avoiding mirrors... You start thinking maybe you’re the problem... You start believing that average equals “unwanted.”.. and that you are inferior to other women.. But deep down, I know A man who can’t appreciate natural, simple beauty would never give me emotional safety. He’d always make me feel like I’m competing with the world .. and I don’t want that kind of marriage anyway... Still… the pain is real... The exhaustion is real... And I’m trying to heal from it, one small piece at a time. If anyone has gone through this ... how did you cope?.
