Astrophotography

Does anyone have a recommendation on a decent telescope that has the capability to mount a Nikon DSLR? I’ve always loved astronomy and I thought it might be a good idea in my older age to dive into it. I can’t buy more cameras right now or I’ll be divorced but astronomy will give me a safe path to further explore my only serious hobby. My lovely wife is now convinced that an overly expensive hobby is anything over $1k🤓, so I have a little bit of room to get something half- decent to start with. I’ve seen these really small table top telescopes, does anyone have experience using those with a Nikon? If there is another sub Reddit that covers this topic I’m happy to explore it. I didn’t find anything. Thanks!
