Google onsite interview

This was my first time with onsite Google interview. I wanted to gather thoughts about what people who have gone through this process, think about the experience. I had three round. The behavioral was general. I have had more of solo development experience, so all my answers were based on that. The interviewer was curious if I had teamwork experience, and I had few which I mentioned. The second round was DSA. I completed the solution in the most optimal way possible but didn’t have time for follow up questions. I did give the time complexity. The only thing was I couldn’t remember the error type of index out of bounds and the interviewer asked about it couple of times. Then the third round, I feel I kind of messed up. The question brute force would be solved in O(n^3), then slight bit better could be solved in O(n^2) and then the optimal definitely in o(n). For majority of the time I kept trying to come up with the approach for O(n) without writing any code. When there were 5 minutes left, I wrote the O(n^2) since I had identified that quickly and was much better than brute force. Gave the time complexity and the interviewer asked about the test cases.

Do people generally have similar experiences? So did I mess up too bad? 😞
