Any older trans people here?
So I’m not really interested in anyone’s political views on trans people. I think people should be free to be who they want to be in life, especially if it doesn’t hurt anyone else. And I fully support trans rights. Not trying to argue about that with anyone. But I’ve wondered recently, what is aging like for trans people who go on hormones fairly young or like in their 20s? Like is there anyone on here who has been on estrogen for like 30 years or something? I wonder what that does to you as you age? What happens to these women’s appearances while other women are having to deal with the challenge of menopause and stuff? I guess there are probably issues related to osteoporosis and stuff maybe. Possible increased risk in clots. Idk. It’s just I think cis people go through so many natural hormonal changes in life. So what happens when your hormones are strictly controlled and set for like 30 or 40 years but like you are still aging during that time?
Does anyone know anything about this? Are there any older trans people here who transitioned fairly young (like in the 90s or early 2000s or something) and would be interested in sharing their experiences? Thanks!! :)
