my partner and I were long distance for 3 years and closed the gap back in 2022 and have been living together since.

sometimes I take a step back and look at the life we’ve built together in the last 3 years and I can’t believe how far we’ve come since the bedtime video calls and tears in the airport after visiting each other. sometimes I even forget we were ever in a ldr entirely lol

long distance was so, so difficult on us at so many points. I spent most days without him miserable and I spent a lot of time in this subreddit reading everyone’s stories and it helped me a lot. I still lurk in here sometimes and see so many people going through the same struggles my partner and I had.

Idk, I just wanted to extend some love out to yall and let you know that the life you and your ldr partner are working towards is SO WORTH THE WAIT and the struggles that come with distance <3 one day you guys will look back at this time in your relationship and feel so grateful you held out for each other!
