What is your reason to play older version of mc in 2025?

Is it nostalgia or do you genuinely believe that older versions are more enjoyable/fun? I first started playing mc in 2013 so that seems to be part of the golden age mc phase, and rightfully so i had a blast playing mc back then and stopped playing around 2016 due to various reason (not related to mc). Couple weeks ago i load up Minecraft for the first time since 2016 with couple of friends for that “2 week Minecraft run” and tbh i found it as run as the old days and maybe even more fun because of all the new stuff to do. We ended up playing daily for one month before exhausting ourselves but if we played the 2013 mc version instead then i say it would have lasted 2 weeks because of less stuff to do. That is all i have to say and just curious why ppl prefer the older versions?
