I have to make this work
Bought UPDF Lifetime at a discounted rate through StackSocial. I’d previously bought SWIFDOO PDF for $5 from BundleHunt and will curse its name till I die. A waste of $5.
I admit that I’ve had little exposure to using PDF software other than for signing documents and converting things, so the issues I’m having may just be me not knowing how to use the software. After purchasing the AI add on for the a year, however, I’m beginning to have some doubts.
For the life of me I cannot find features and tools I read about using online within the desktop version. Is not standard for PDFs generate a table of some sort? Or do they all require “drawing” one or using a screenshot of a spreadsheet to then transfer the table onto a blank pdf? There’s supposedly an extensive template library but the only offering I’ve found is far from extensive or of library caliber.
And the AI… Christ. It’s like they’ve implemented TinyLlama to be the main AI we interact with how much output it generates in response to the simplest requests. Hell, every request really. There seems to be no context or memory capabilities whatsoever. There’s no way to adjust its parameters or customize in any way. My biggest confusion, however, is the claims of being able to choose between GPT, DeepSeek, and maybe a third option which I’ve forgotten. No where online or on the desktop have I found a way to pick either.
Also, is there any official documentation published anywhere at all? Or is it just the articles and blog posts that we’re supposed to learn from?
