Everything Points To Having Had Ménières , But My Hearing Has Stabilised / Improved
I experienced hearing loss, and now have BTE Aids ( after a ‘fight’ ), 4 years ago. Symptoms seem to fit Ménières, but for the last year or so, my hearing has actually improved, rather than deteriorating further…?
I’m under ENT and they’ve requested repeat scans in March 2026. It seems as though they’re putting my loss down to a mix of things - including genetics ( to some extent ), and a previous congenital condition - but I’ve only ever been diagnosed ( at least by the NHS ) as having Bilateral Mild-Moderate Sensorineural hearing loss.
Stupidly, it took me a while to get a hearing test - on the High Street, results of which were 40-45% loss in one ear, around 25% loss in the other - so I reckon I could have originally sustained Moderate-Severe loss…?
I guess my question is does stabilisation / possible improvement fits a Ménières diagnosis…?
