Finger neuropathy post-chemo.
3 rounds BEP from December ‘24 to end of February ‘25. Had minor neuropathy in fingers (mostly index, middle, and thumb on one hand; index and thumb on other hand) during 2nd and 3rd rounds. Gradually went away over the next few months after completion.
However, I have noticed as we are approaching winter again - this being the first winter since I completed my chemotherapy - that I have been noticing the same fingers have been extremely sensitive to changes in temperature, specifically the cold. I’ll have some discoloration which is sometimes pale or sometimes a little purple, during those tingling and numbness times, and it goes away after a bit and warming up.
Just curious if others experience(d) this and if it gradually got better. I understand my circulation and body may all just be different from here on out too, so I’m not overly concerned about this, but also want to make sure I’m not dismissing something that I should be more concerned about. I have my 9month scans and follow ups coming up, so I’ll be discussing this with my team of course. However, any insight or experience sharing would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
