UC + Texas insurance help? Anyone moved from New York?

Hey everyone, I wanted to ask something because I’m kind of stressing about it. I live in NYC right now and I have ulcerative colitis. I’m not working at the moment and I’m a student, so I’m on NY Medicaid and it covers literally everything ,GI visits, labs, meds, my monthly biologic, all for free. It’s been a huge help.

My family might move to Dallas, Texas, and I’m honestly scared about what will happen with insurance. I’ve heard Texas Medicaid is way stricter and that adults without income or disability might not qualify. I don’t really understand how insurance works in Texas, and I don’t want to lose access to my meds or have a huge bill.

So I wanted to ask: Is anyone here living in Texas (especially Dallas) with UC, or has anyone moved from New York to Texas in a similar situation? How did insurance work for you? Did you get Texas Medicaid, or did you have to use Marketplace insurance? How much are you paying monthly? Does your plan cover GI visits and biologics without giving you a hard time?

Just trying to plan ahead so I don’t end up stuck without treatment. Any advice or personal experience would mean a lot.
