Is People Still Getting Married? And WHY?

I started working on a personal project, a wedding planning app, but I am not married and not planning to. So I need brutal honesty from people who actually are.

The app will let couples to have a shared checklist, an expense and budget tracker, a wishlist to easily share with guests, and event details with map, calendar and countdown integrated.

I don't want it to be another app that solves nothing, so if you can share your experiences, that would be really appreciated.
