PLEASE DONT FORCE YOURSELF TO CHOOSE A CAREER WHICH ISNT YOUR INTEREST

Academics :graduation:

I'm 19 pursuing Btech 2nd year rn from a not so good university, I'm writing this from my hostel room all frustrated about how i ended up making the worst mistake of my life by not choosing a career of my interest just because people around me and on the internet believed that traditional courses pay you well. It all started from class 11 when i chose pcb when clearly my interests were inclined towards humanities, I scored over 90 in every subject and 55 in Math clearly not having the aptitude for science, i did miserable in 12th barely passing the core subjects with 72%. after 12th i wanted to pursue literature, psychology or media but people around me made me believe that career after these courses aint promising and hence took btech under this influence and trust me it sucks. Believe me or not these typical "promising courses" won't fetch you anything in life if you've no interest in them, if you've interest and a vision you can do wonders even with the courses people believe to be useless i promise. This is one my biggest regrets in life to choose this shithole over my interest not like i can't pursue whatever i wanted to but it's way more complicated this way, i could've avoided this. Please learn from my mistakes and choose whatever makes you happy, its your career and you've to do that stuff for the rest of your life. Be mindful.
