Non-US exchange student, I’ve got an option to go wayne state university in detroit

Hey everyone, 20M undergrad business management student, I have applied to some exchange programs in some universities in the US, it seems like most of them are done hosting exchange students for the upcoming semester(I applied a bit late) but they all told me I can apply in the one after(one of which was university of South Carolina in Columbia). However, WSU has accepted my application and now the only obstacle I need to get past is the visa process. Does anyone have ANY useful information about wayne state or midtown Detroit? What can I expect from the university or the city itself? How are the people there? Again Im not from the US so I have no idea what to expect, so far Ive gotten polar opposite opinions about the university from different people. Im looking for a place with friendly, social, outgoing people on campus, hopefully even find a friend group that would be down to visit a different state after the semester’s over. Education quality is important but the US university experience is a bigger priority for me
