Is my negative K/D in the meatgrinder tanking my teams?

Field Tactics (Strategy & Tips)

I would like to get your guys perspectives on meatgrinder gameplay…

So couple days ago I was playing a game where I was supposed to cover the F point on Black Coast, as SOF+Stryker (we were spawning from the south). I was throwing infantry after infantry into this meatgrinder trying to hold on to control the city next to it and the forest behind it. It basically became a 2x1 and the other team was putting a lot of effort into killing my infinity amount of infantry and cheap vehicles. It was a pretty even match of 0 - 2 up until the end of phase 3 where we steamrolled them in the last 5 minutes.

My team ended up with K/D's ranging from 0.9-1.2 but I got an abysmal 0.5, so I'm asking myself if I'm harming my teams with this kind of strategies of doubling down on a "lost cause". I see myself in these situations quite a lot of times when playing center cap points or whenever faced with a 2x1 on the flanks.

I can get a pretty decent K/D while on the flank cap points when 1x1 or 1x1+support.

Should I keep doing this? Should I build a very cheap deck of reservists to use in this situation? Should I just let go and focus on other areas? Or is this a useful tactic at the end of the day...
