Minor Damage to car after already being in accident while waiting for repairs (PA)
Hello, I'm writing as I was recently in an accident. A car pulled in front of me and damaged my bumper on my passenger side. The other party admitted fault and was found by my insurance to be 100% liable. The car is still drivable.
I haven't gotten an estimate yet, but I have an appointment for an estimate and repairs early next week. However, today, my wife hit a bollard, causing more damage to the opposite (driver) side bumper. (Mostly just some large scrapes and pretty minor compared to the damage on the other side.)
It looks like the damage to the car from both accidents is localized to only the bumper and part of the headlight on the passenger side (from the main accident).
How is this going to affect the claims process and how much I owe towards repairs? Realistically, if it was just the driver's side damage, I wouldn't go to insurance at all and just pay out of pocket. Does it even matter since the whole bumper is being replaced anyways as a result of the initial accident?
I'd be appreciative of any guidance or help here. Thank you!
