Foreign Travel as a USA felon

LOCATION: America Felon, marijuana trafficking. Will be expunged soon but the FBI list never drops it so will always show on background checks by foreign countries that perform them for visas.

Can I just get a second citizenship with like St Kitts for example and apply for visas with my new passport ? Will that essentially hide my dirty background and allow me to visit strict visa countries ?
