Tire size question for 2025 TRD Off-road

Just got my first Tacoma - 2025 TRD Off-road. I don’t love the tires it came with. The salesperson said I could size up to a 275/70R17 (about 32” tall)without the need for a leveling kit or lift. My local tire shop said that is a hard to find, and expensive size, and recommended 285/70R17. I think the 285/70s would be about 33” tall and I worry they would rub. Any advice here if I don’t want a leveling kit or suspension mods? Stick with the stock 265/70s? Only go up to the 275/70s? Or the 285/70s would work? Thanks in advance for any helpful insights!
