What elements of the NY Dolls did the Ramones carry over into their own band?

I've read a lot they were inspired by the Dolls: Dee Dee casually mentioned it in the interview held in German, Johnny liked them and everything. But I don't see how Joey Ramone's singing was similar to David Johansen's, what Johnny borrowed from the other Johnny, how Dee Dee's style took parts of that of Arthur Kane. Especially Tommy was a totally different kind of drummer, with Marky naturally having more resemblances due to his close ties (so that doesn't really count) and Richie just being from an entirely different circle. Even the way the Ramones structured their songs was completely distinct.
