Got to replace my 3070 laptop but budget is tighter this time around. (Hardware failure)

Discussion

I'm not a tinkerer or a PC know it all. I understand at a glance when looking at the main components what is better and what is not.

I don't care to play in 4k or 120 fps

I'm perfectly content with 1080p and 60-90 fps I can't really tell the difference.

But it feels "wrong" to get say a 5060 or anything less than 32gb ram.

But if I was content playing any game at medium to high settings 1080p 60fps average. Ray tracing at times but no way critical what would you recommend for a laptop spec?

5070 always seemed like the budget gaming best option but is 5060 good enough for what I would want?

What about 16gb ram is that to little? I've been told operating systems alone can use 8 gb by themselves.

Could anyone recommend a laptop that I could use as a reference in this regard?
