question about apple id and iphone 6s

hello, so soon i am going to get an iphone 6s to take pictures and use some simple apps, i want to create a seperate apple id for this phone for security reasons, and because i would like to keep the stuff on my main phone off of the 6s, trying to use this phone to reduce distractions. anyways, am i able to create an apple id on this phone without using a phone number? my main icloud is already tied to my phone number.
