Christmas LED lights can't touch metal?

Just got some new Christmas LED lights and the Caution section really surprised me. Apparently these can't touch metal? I'm finding that so confusing, like I can't hang on a nail or a curtain rod? This seems so strange, unless I'm misunderstanding the warning.
