Recommendations for some older fantasy that have endured the test of time/are not too problematic?

Recently I've been spending a LOT of time in used bookstores since my wife loves reading and I started again as well. I'm constantly drawn to those amazing old fantasy covers so I want to start reading some that I can find used. However I don't know where to start. I searched this sub for the first one that interested me, Piers Anthony, and wow I don't want to touch any of his works.

So I'm asking: Is there any older fantasy authors/works that you would suggest that have endured the test of time and are generally not too problematic? I'm a fan of older mysteries like Christie myself so some light problematic/aged things are ok with me.

I'm a fantasy newbie but here's some stuff I've read and liked:

Along with the Harry Potter, Narnia, and His Dark Materials series I read as a kid I've recently read a lot of Louis McMaster Bujold (almost all of the World of Five Gods series), The Tainted Cup/A Drop of Corruption (loved, LOVED these), Katabasis, and some Haruki Murakami.

I have some LeGuin loaded up to try next and I want to start Martha Well's Witch King since I liked her Murder Bot series.

I also play a lot of RPG video games and used to play a lot of D&D.
