USPS discriminating against address after large delivery from a couple of months ago?
A couple of months ago I had about 9 to 10 packages that arrived all at the same time through USPS. Since I was expecting this delivery, I went outside and helped the mail carrier once he removed the packages from his truck (with his permission of course)
Ever since then, all packages have been delayed some as many as up to five days of delays.
I have not received any notice from USPS about my address or if there is a reason for so many delays.
This week they did not even attempt to deliver to me and are trying to force me to pick up two items of clothing instead of delivering it. I'm fairly close to my post office but I don't have a car and the terrain is not walk friendly at all.
While we did have a severe weather alert for the area, the alert was for rain and not until after the original delivery window had closed. My items had also been out for delivery yesterday and I never saw them even attempt to deliver it.
USPS has also stuffed my mailbox to the point where I have to rip out the package that should have been dropped at the porch and they've also given my neighbor some important mail of mine.
Our mailboxes are clearly marked and while it is a triplex unit, the post office knows this about my address. These problems also never started until after the mentioned big delivery.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? I know it's getting close to the holidays so maybe they're just understaffed since it is a small town and post office but planning to see if these delays continue into next year.
Luckily a friend has to drop off three packages and offered to give me a ride to the post office so I'm planning on going in today and asking to speak with a supervisor and possibly get a number for the postmaster general or branch supervisor.
