72mph in a 45mph zone

I am a georgia resident and at the time of this I was 20 and got pulled over in alabama then put the ticket in the glove compartment and totally forgot about it until i got a letter in the mail saying i have an fta that next week i drove 2 hours to the courthouse to pay it and then about 2 weeks later i got another letter in the mail that says i am suspended for 6 months now ik in georgia 25 over is a super speeder and i was 27 but this is the first anything ive gotten in 3 years i got a 54mph in a 45 when i was 16 but other than that no other incidents with the law my question is what can i do? do i have to not drive for 6 months?
