Open world is underwhelming
I don't care much for open worlds in games. But if they are there, might as well utilize it. There is a lot of space not being used for anything other than passing from point A to B. There are occasional macguffins here and there with advenspheres or basic jump puzzles but that's it.
They could probably add in a capture commission but instead of a random dude, I take Lulu Lunoloot. Or a defense mission in the sewer where some plumber is trying to fix the pipes while we fend off one wave of rats. Make the rewards enticing enough so that people will do them when they run into them.
It's silly but it could add some charm and world building.
