Should I keep looking?

I did 2 interviews and got a verbal offer from a firm I’m really interested in for a new grad program. They told me the offer at noon Friday over the phone and asked for references. I sent them my references first thing Monday morning and it’s Friday after and haven’t heard a confirmation or anything. Is this just standard corporate delay or can I assume it’s gone and should keep searching
