Running from fights

I'm on my first honor mode run and almost lost it to the spider matriarch at level four.

I thought several times about running, but I took a risk and just burned potion after potion until it was dead.

I'm sure this will keep coming up, so I wanted to ask if anyone has good advice about how to exit combat when you get in trouble. Do I just have all the characters dash and try to get away? What about invisibility potions? Any advice would be useful.
