[spoiler discussion] Has this been changed from the web novel to the light novel

In the web novel, when it comes to the unthinkable presents, after Subaru dies, it revealed that the Witch will take over his body, and attack everyone around her. Probably destroying the world.

This was removed from the light novel and also the anime, but do you think that it means that the plot point was dropped, or that the author just wanted to hide it from being revealed so early in the story?
