This was horrendous writing (ranting a bit)

Sigh okay I’m not normally one to be a hater for a fandom project

But I feel like I need to rant a little.

People on here had really good theories, ideas and ultimately it did make way way more sense for it to be Matthias. Von seems to just not like or care about her female characters nearly half as much as the male ones.

I didn’t want to believe that but lord it’s so clear that despite tetrodanganronpa not having main characters… you can’t deny that her favorite this time around is Ikeda. If not, It seems like she’s extremely invested in his story arc and ultimately makes him the center of it all in some way shape or form.

It would have been way more compelling story wise if Matthias had just gotten tired of it all and ultimately believed he could go home as the bleeding.

Ikeda somehow not demanding that Tei join??? Does not make any sense at all and feels like it was done just to create tension for next chapter.

Ogura’s plan was not smart- there was 0 reason to try and throw Yaitabashi it would have just made more sense to kill him- but again we seem to have a pattern of killing female characters and having women be the perpetrators too.

Overall it’s just- very dumb.

If we went with Ogura, Ikeda, and Matthias, it would have been smarter to bring in Isoda, as Hirose cares about her just as much as Denden. But ultimately making it seem like Hirose would ONLY join if it was Denden because Hirose would feel the need to protect her as collateral feels again, dumb. It’s not a logical line of thinking. Ogura was smart, very smart, this feels like a massive disservice to her character.

And ultimately if Ogura was smart she would have brought Tei in to ensure Ikeda would cooperate. If Tei was involved he would not have been upset, Ikeda would not have regressed, and ultimately Kumada wouldn’t have fucked them all over.

It was painfully dumb.

So much so, I don’t peg it as Ogura’s fault but rather bad writing.

Ikeda is practically also speaking for the audience in a way during trials by stating that people are making themselves too valuable. And Ruka is right, he does it because he ultimately cares but does it in a very nasty not socially appropriate way. He of course wants the people who are helpful to live, and him speaking up was only due to him regressing due to Tei’s anger.

Ogura also??? Right after Akiba’s death? Yea fat chance, if the writing had any consideration for her grief she would NEVER. She would have outed the bleeding night one if she had remained consistent to her morals and character. Even more so if she did, she would have gone for Yaitabashi or Ruka to make it harder in the trial setting. Nishiguchi being the target, and her reasoning, were frankly as stupid.

Ikeda also probably would have advocated for Yaitabashi’s death- ya wanna know the reason I think he wasn’t though? Because he’s a boy (and/or) Von enjoys writing him so she didn’t want to kill him off too soon, despite the fact Nishiguchi could have had a really interesting revenge arc for his sake vs it turning into Ogura making the dumbest picks ever and Ikeda for some reason rolling over and agreeing for no good reason.

Ogura saying she would save him??? Why would he ever believe her or just go along with it? That makes 0 sense for the Ikeda we know.

Sigh- anyways, this was dumb, blue may be the last tetro I watch if it continues to be so poorly written and male centered
