Friday Rounds

Bevy's Parker - They have all three of the new HH Grain to Glass bottles on the central counter that were aged in chinquapin oak; I think these were around $109. They had one bottle left of the Penelope Creme Brulee for $80, which I grabbed. They also have Penelope Valencia back in stock. Bardstown Master Distiller Steve Nally (I think he is at Argo today) was at Bevy's earlier in the week and signed all the Bardstown bottles currently sitting on the shelf; might be a cool gift idea. They also have the new James E. Pepper Gold Edition on the regular shelf for $100 (hadn't seen that one before), along with Rare Character #3 & #10 for the same price. They are also expecting an Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Toasted Barrel pick to arrive next week.

Total Wine Centennial - Has a 4 Roses OBSK pick out on the floor for $110, 9 years 2 months and 116.6 proof, warehouse LE. This is the pick they had a mixup with and couldn't sell last week, but it is now available. Pretty steep price, especially since Davidson's still has theirs for $90. Also Blood Oath on the regular shelf for $155, along with Penelope Valencia for $78 limit 1.

Highlands Wine Seller - Not much out this morning other than Penelope Valencia for $80 limit 1. Pikamon KC pick is sold out.

Dry Creek Discount Liquors (wildcard stop) - After being able to snag MMCA for $200 a few weeks ago, I checked this shop again. Sure enough, GTS and THH were in the case, but with no pricetag. Asked the price, hoping for another failure to obnoxiously mark them up, but it was not to be; GTS was $800, and THH was $500. Ouch.

Davidson's HR - Nothing other than their same old 4R OESK BS pick for $90.
