Middle School Archeology Device

LEGO League Challenge

I coach a middle school robotics team and they have have built a device for archeologists and paleontologists to capture data on their finds. For their competetion they have to gage interest within the archeology/paleontology community.

They have built a mobile Machine Learning  arceology and paleontology device that identifies artifacts and fossils quickly and effectively at the site of the discovery without the need for internet.   In addition, the device also collect Ph,  moisture and temperateure data of the soil in which the artifact/ fossil was found as well as GPS data of where the artifact/ fossil was found to identify it even better.  The device also allows for initial analysis of the artifact/ fossil without moving it (and thus no risk of harming it).

Would a device like that be of interest to you? What would make such a device more attractive?
