Question regarding lip labret.

I recently got my lip ( vertical labret ) pierced and it's actually healing well and i recently got it downsized however today the bar itself fell out and i've been able to get it back in with everything screwed together.

I'm wondering if me putting it back in is alright? like it won't cause any issues. I'm under the impression my pierced swapped out the bar when downsizing ( quite oblivious of how it went about as i closed my eyes ) so seeing as they put in a smaller bar, me putting it back through shouldn't cause any problems as it's already been done one before?
