I got betrayed once again or I got what I deserved

Today was the last picnic of my school journey. I thought this year I should actually go since its the last year of school. So we have a group of around 8-9 friends and Idk why I am not treated as same as other members, I am treated as an outsider or an extra person of the group.

The group leader had an ego clash with me as I was the captain of school cricket team even though and he wasn't that good but still he still played all 5 matches by licking boots of our coach. His cricket knowledge is quite good due to which he thought he deserved captaincy but in the middle of nowhere in the matches he started giving some rubbish advices that would never work. He used to pretend as if he is a god level mastermind & always used to interfere and was keen to show his importance still I never let him feel that as it lower the players' confidence and creates a rift in team

In the end we lost the semi-final and this guy put all the blame on my captaincy as we failed to defend a score of 171 in 20 overs, opponents took just 18.2 overs with 3 wickets down. He started to chatter rubbish things "isko captaincy nahi aati, bc isse acha to mai hi captain ban jata, teri wajah se hare" even though we defended 96 in group stage against one of the best team and reached semis by ranking 2nd at points table of 4 teams

Never treated him badly but this guy always used to interfere in our other competitions too( like some IT/ CS ones or some other) as well even though he wasn't that good in them too and would like to show that he too was the part of team in those other activities. Ok no problem, if you add a value in the work but we won 1 CS competition too and he did nothing except just playing games in CS lab. But still never treated him badly as a formality of friend (even though he wasn't a good friend)

Now today due to that ego clash, he didn't include me in anything. All I did was just talk to 3-4 of my good friends. I think he instigated few of the people in group about me. I think he said like "isko har jagah hamare saath hi ghusna hai as if I am an outsider hence posted his traits on me

At the end I have decided to finally exit the friend circle from tomorrow and will maintain individual friendships instead with good friends
