Help naming animated movie from late 80s

Please, I need help. I'm trying to remember a cartoon movie that played on Disney Channel or cable chanel in the late 80's /early 90s. There was a humanoid cat or perhaps it was a girl that kept running around yelling with a really wide mouth. Takes place in a dark castle. There's a man with strong pointed jaw wearing a cloak that's a bad guy who dies by falling on a castle spike.  It was spooky/ fantasy with a ball or round monster flying, trying to chase the girl who was yelling in the hallway of a dark castle. It had a antagonist who was a handsome man in a dark outfit who dies from falling off the top of the castle onto a spike from the ramparts. There may be a red scarf fluttering?   Thoughts anyone?
