Tobias Buckell

I've been going on a Halo book binge lately, mind I had read most of them but some notable exceptions had escaped my purview, such as the Cole Protocol. (I know cardinal sin)

Halo really has a fantastic current stable of writers. Kelly Gay and Troy Denning being notable of course, I love their work. (I have yet to read Jeremy Patenaude's work) But having just recently read Buckell's work - Cole Protocol, Dirt, Oasis, and now getting into Envoy - man, he really knows how to interweave multiple competing factions within one tale. He adds a layer of complexity that makes the world feel inherently real while still managing to wrangle these various plots into a single narrative goal. They often start disparate before getting closer and closer together, eventually coalescing into one. It's something I really enjoy and I feel incredibly engaged with every contribution to the world he makes.

Just wanted to give my praise on a public forum, I really enjoy his style.
