Packer question

I’ve been strongly considering getting a packer in the last couple weeks, and if I do, I’m especially interested to get an STP version. What are y’all’s experiences (STP or not) with using packers?

Which one did you buy and what do you think about that purchase now? Were there some considerations you didn’t think about when you bought one?
