T from chemo

I developed severe tinnitus from chemotherapy (cisplatin), which ended about two months ago. I have a constant ringing in my right ear and a very high-pitched “cicada” sound in my left. Has anyone else gone through something similar? Did it improve over time?

Also, is it generally safe to have coffee, work out and go to parties/concerts with earplugs, or is there a risk of making the tinnitus worse?
