any double up specific tips for climbing?

been playing double up with my friend lately, hoping to hit masters by end of set. my friends peak is masters in another set but i’ve never played solo, have hit emerald in double up before just forcing bilgewater and not really paying attention to anything 😭

my friend is basically playing two games rn and it’s working as we’re winning, but im wondering if there’s any double up specific strategies that are important like managing streak w another player, choosing non overlapping comps, etc. i have a decent grasp on the game, just struggle most with augment choices and deciding which comp to go after my opener. any help is appreciated!!
