Elite Dangerous Odyssey on the new Steam Machine?

I'm currently using a shitty old pc with an i5 4690k and a rx390 that I only use exclusively for Elite. It runs fairly well on medium settings with various 3rd party apps and tools running with 2 extra monitors. Will the steam machine be able to match or better this? I absolutely don't need it running at ultra level graphics etc but just as it is now. Is it worth getting one? or will I need something more powerful? Again, it will be exclusively for elite as all other pc use can be done on my work laptop or mobile
