⭐️ 1 Star – Turo Has Completely Lost My Trust

My recent experience with Turo has been nothing short of infuriating. I’ve used the platform before without issues, but this time exposed exactly how little they care about customers once they’ve taken your money.

I attempted to cancel a booking minutes past the refund window—literally minutes—and both Turo and the renter were completely unwilling to show even the slightest flexibility or basic human decency. No exception, no understanding, not even a conversation. Just a cold “policy is policy,” even though the booking hadn’t started, no one was inconvenienced, and nothing had been used or prepared.

To make things worse, the renter never responded to a single message. Total radio silence. And instead of stepping in, Turo shrugged and hid behind automated responses. It’s unacceptable that a platform built on “community” and “trust” can’t even bother to address a simple customer concern when the host won’t communicate.

At the end of the day, I’m out money for a service I didn’t use—solely because Turo refuses to take responsibility or consider the circumstances. This experience showed me exactly what their priorities are, and it’s not customer satisfaction or fairness. It’s squeezing every possible dollar out of you, even when the situation is clearly unreasonable.

I’ll be taking my business elsewhere, and I strongly urge others to think twice before relying on Turo. When something goes wrong, don’t expect compassion, logic, or even a response. You won’t get one.
