UC for international student or nah?

kept getting deleted at r/berkeley so posting here

intl student, will need financial aid for college. UC culture seemed great (especially Berkeley) and i love the california vibes so I wanna try. i think my app is kinda strong so i might get in if i'm lucky. however as far as i know UC gives almost no financial aid to international students, and i won't be able to afford housing and tuition if i manage to get accepted.

should i try applying for regular anyways or should i aim for other colleges?
